Dear Home customers
Here is some information about how we are handling the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation and how you can help.
Home will stay open as long as there is no government instruction otherwise and no risk to others. We have stepped up our cleaning schedule significantly with regular hand washing and sanitising a requirement for all our staff and volunteers. We also have additional regular cleaning of key areas such as door handles, other areas that are touched regularly and our toilets.
We would encourage non cash payments wherever possible but recognise that this is not possible for some so our till staff will be wearing gloves and we will also be using these in our serving area.
All our serving items are washed in a high temperature commercial dish washer. However, on request customers can ask for a disposable mug (recyclable) for hot drinks.
We are no longer providing cold water in a central location but customers can ask for this and we will provide it from the kitchen.
We would also ask that customers do not bring their dirty plates back to the kitchen area. Our volunteers will collect these from the tables.
There will always be a good supply of soap and paper towels in our toilet area, so please keep washing your hands!
Safety ALWAYS comes first for both our customers, staff, volunteers and Living Room users. We want to look after all those who come into Home physically and mentally in getting through this. It’s easy to lose sight of the main messages in all the worry and panic, but we are following government guidelines in addition to our extra safety measures.
If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with our Cafe Manager, Michael Pollard.
