Earlier this month the Didsbury community came together in the gardens of Emmanuel Church to celebrate diversity at the 3rd Didsbury Pride.
The Home café team have been actively supporting Didsbury Pride from the very beginning and this year we couldn’t wait to support this great cause again after a one-year gap due to the pandemic!
This special event included lots of family entertainment, market and food stalls, LGBTQ+ organisations, musical acts and of course some fundraising. This year Pride closed with a very special guest, Manchester icon, Rowetta.
Michael Pollard, our very own Café manager, and Didsbury Pride Festival director, said “It has absolutely exceeded all our expectations, it’s been an amazing day for the community after missing it so much last year. This event is all about inclusion starting with the LGBTQ+ community as well as allies, family and of course friends.”
Didsbury Pride is organised in partnership with Home Community Café and Emmanuel Church and once again was a great success thanks to the amazing people of Didsbury.
